    Default mandurah dive

i had been watching the weather all week and thursday looked like the morning to go out for a dive. woke up a 6 and to my suprise the battery on the boat was dead and no spare. oh well will take the one from the car too charge it and after a bit of fiddling around of changing over batteries finally launched from dawesville. to our suprise it wasnt the glassy conditions we were expecting however we still decided to venture out deep to the 25m mark. after a couple of attemps and a little bit wet finally over the side. hit the bottom with one loop and one spear gun. saw a big black***, small dhuie, couple of fox fish and a queenie cruising around. with a black*** and a cuttlefish we looped in the bag. swam around for a while and didnt even see the cray. as expected with 50bar left, in 28m of water and a fair way from where we started. finally found some crays. 4 big crays and 2 more cuttlefish later only had enough air left to get to the top and do a compression stop. ran out of air on the compression stop and had to borrow buddies air for the last minute then to the surface. finally were about 150m from the boat. after being attacked by a few albatrose finally back at boat.
great day out though and would do it again tomorrow.

That's insane! I've only run out of air once and that was due to a faulty gauge. You keep doing what you are doing and pretty soon all those cheese holes are going to line up. Only hope you don't take your buddy with you.

btw, only after changing the gauge did I get told that particular gauge was responsible for a number of deaths. Divers found on the seabed with the gauge still showing air left when there was none.
