Looking at purchasing a 560C Bar Crusher.

Be interested in knowing peoples thoughts on the following;

The suggestion is to team it up with a Yamaha 115hp 4 stroke. Since the kids are keen to go skurfing, wondering if I am better off putting a 150hp on it. It will primarily be used for fishing (4 people)

Any ideas on the ease of beach launching with tandem axle on hard packed sand. Will need to disconnect trailer and push trailer out to get the depth. Planning to put the spare on a stub axle at the front to assist.

General comments about the Bar Crusher.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 3.7mtr ali dingy which has been quite nice and just bought a folding seat with a clamp on style mount and swivel to make it more comfortable. Promblem I had found is that it has raised the person up a fair amount, almost to the point that it make you higher than the boat.
Was wondering if someone had come across this problem in the past and how they solved it? When I got the chair, the sales person had said not to srew the swivel onto the bench seat unless I was using bolts.

Dingy hulls - what to stay away from / look for

G'day guys,

Im in the market for a dingy (my first boat), porbably an ali.

Im looking at spending around 3-5k and have a fair idea of what I am after. I am in no rush at all so i have been looking around to see what I could expect for that price and you can get some rippers! Im mainly interested in the hull and the motor, extra's can be added later.

I know I am looking for a newish 20-30hp motor. I'd prefer a four stroke over a 2 stroke and I know that I should aiming to get a yamaha, a honda, a evinrude or a mariner if possible.

But I am having some trouble identifing the hulls. There are so many hull brands around that I have never heard of and I'm just wondering if anyone can give any advice on what sort of hull(s) have good/bad reputations. For example I think i remember being told that Savage hulls arn't too good, but I can't really remember.

I have done some searches and not coming up with much. I have learnt that it is important to check all the welds for any stress cracks as these can be very hard to fix.

Im mainly going to be doing inshore fishing so won't be anything to stressful on the hull...

Any advice is really appreciated! Hopefully i have given a good overview of my position haha.

Cheers guys
