Exmouth, Ningaloo Reef on show to world
The Gascoyne, Western Australia, town of Exmouth and the Ningaloo Reef will be showcased to the world, following the success of the international Sea Life Festival.
The world's best photographers and cinematographers will publish and broadcast images of the region's underwater life captured during the event.
Previous Sea Life Festivals have been held in Indonesia and the Maldives.
The Minister for the Gascoyne, Tom Stephens, says it is fitting the festival has been held in the north of the state.
"This is of enormous value to Western Australians as we develop our knowledge of our fragile but fantastic ecosystems that abound around the Ningaloo Reef," he said.
