The good pink snapper run continued in the metropolitan area this past week with fish to 90cm all along the coast. Some big Samson fish to 40 kilos have been testing skill and knots in the 30 – 40’s. The odd southern bluefin tuna continues to be caught along the back of the 3 mile and further out in the 28’s to 34’s. This area was also producing dhufish ranging in size from very small to 15 kilos. King George were also found in this depth with good numbers hitting the esky.

Skippy were reported from the northern rock walls while the herring reports have been patchy. A mulloway was landed from Ocean Reef marina by an angler fishing around the mullet schools.

The Moore River was producing black bream at the mouth and towards Diamond Island to 35cm.
