Kalbarri Fishing Report

It’s been a great week in Kalbarri with the fish playing the game for all the anglers on holiday up here at the moment. Tailor to 80cm were reported from the river mouth and a 110cm mulloway was caught.

The beaches south of town finally became fishable after the rough weather with Red Bluff and Wittecarra Creek producing garfish, herring, skippy and good numbers of whiting. The cliffs south of town were giving up a few good pinkies for the land based guys.

The boaties were still getting into some pelagic action north of town with the odd mackerel landed. There were also rumours of sailfish in the same area. Tuna continue to be spotted in Jakes Bay and along the coastal cliffs south of town. Dhufish were caught along the cliffs along with snapper and red throat while those who headed west found some snapper, dhufish and red emperor.
