CURRENT MOON
Broome Fishing Report

There has been plenty of Spanish mackerel anywhere from 1 – 20km out. Fish to 17 kilos were reported with lures and live baits working equally well. Tuna were also found in decent schools but those targeting the mackies.

The bottom fishing offshore has been bountiful with bags limits of snapper, bluebone and coral trout being reported.

The sailfish action has hotted up recently on the neap tides with fish to 25 kilos being caught north of town. The best reports have come from north of town around The Peanut. As usual, switch baiting has accounted for the majority of sails.

The jetty has been fishing well for various species of trevally along with queenfish with white feather jigs working the best. Sharks were a problem with the men in grey taking their fair share of fish.

Anglers heading to the creeks have reported jacks and big blue salmon on the incoming tides.
